ATP Masters 1000 status
The Monte-Carlo Masters is one of the nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments, which are the most prestigious events on the ATP Tour after the four Grand Slams. The Masters 1000 tournaments offer the most ranking points and prize money outside of the Grand Slams.
Overview of the tournament
The 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters featured a 56-player singles draw and a 28-team doubles draw. The top 32 players in the ATP Rankings were seeded for the singles tournament. Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the final 6-3, 7-6(3), 7-3 to win the singles title. It was Tsitsipas's second Masters 1000 title and his eighth career singles title. In the doubles tournament, Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeated Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the final 6-4, 3-6, [10-7] to win the title. It was Ram and Salisbury's third Masters 1000 title as a team.
