Royal Caribbean's New Ship Surpasses Harmony of the Seas
Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas is now officially the largest cruise ship in the world, surpassing the previous title-holder, Harmony of the Seas.
The Wonder of the Seas, which debuted in March 2022, boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 1,188 feet in length and 210 feet in width. It has a gross tonnage of 236,857 and can accommodate up to 6,988 passengers and 2,300 crew members.
The ship features an array of amenities, including a variety of restaurants, bars, and entertainment options. It also has a large waterpark, a rock-climbing wall, and a zip line. The Wonder of the Seas will sail to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean during its inaugural season.
The Harmony of the Seas, which was previously the largest cruise ship, now ranks as the fifth-largest in the world. It debuted in 2016 and measures 1,187 feet in length and 215 feet in width. The ship has a gross tonnage of 226,963 and can accommodate up to 6,687 passengers and 2,384 crew members.
