Novak Djokovic, the Serbian tennis star, has secured his place in the history books by capturing his 20th Grand Slam title at Wimbledon. This achievement ties him with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for the most men's singles Grand Slam victories in the Open Era.
Federer's Reign and Nadal's Resurgence
Before Djokovic's recent dominance, Federer and Nadal shared the record for most Grand Slam titles. Federer held the top spot in the world rankings for 310 weeks, and Nadal was ranked number one for 209 weeks. Federer also holds the record for most consecutive years ending as the world's number one (five) and has won 103 tour singles titles.
Nadal, known for his exceptional clay-court prowess, has won 92 tour singles titles. He has been particularly successful at the French Open, where he has triumphed a record 14 times.
